Position: Web Developer

mediaBOOM, a Webby Award-winning full-service interactive agency with a reputation for cutting-edge design, creates and builds imaginative online experiences. mediaBOOM is looking for talented and enthusiastic Web Developers to build and deliver data-driven websites and applications of the highest quality within a positive, dynamic and team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in web technology and architectures, be able to develop and maintain highly interactive, database-driven websites according to specified requirements, and have the ability to work efficiently with others under minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, or related field


• Development experience


• Foundational knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns


• Proficiency in standards-compliant HTML, CSS, Javascript, asset optimization, and best practices for frontend development


• Ability to deliver cross-browser compatibility


• Experience with server-side programming (e.g. PHP, Ruby, ASP.NET, ColdFusion)


• Experience with database development (e.g. MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle)


• Experience with developing technical specifications and deliverables


• Good analytical and problem-solving skills


• Desire to work both independently and as a team player


• Strict attention to detail


• Ability to work capably under deadline pressures


• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Objective C for iOS / Java for Android programming


• e-commerce and credit card processing via merchant gateways


• Flash / Actionscript programming


• Open-source CMS systems (e.g. Wordpress, Drupal, Radiant)


• Web application frameworks (e.g. Ruby on Rails, Django, CodeIgniter, CakePHP)


• Agency experience
